COIN DRIVE TO HELP TEENS!

TREK is doing a fall coin drive at Vancouver and Vancouver East to benefit the teens at Open House Ministries! Open House Ministries is a family shelter in downtown Vancouver, dedicated to helping homeless families restore healthy relationships with each other, with their community and with Christ.

·        Coin jars will be available at every class, so please help give these teens a great Christmas by donating your coins!  

·        This is a competition, and the winning class gets candy on the last day of classes!

 Please remember to bring your coins!

CAST AND CREW LIST

Great weekend of auditions and callbacks everyone!  If you skip down and read the cast and crew list be sure and come back and read the details in these first paragraphs!  

Our first rehearsal is Friday, 10/18 from 5:00 – 9:00 at Lifepoint Church.  ALL cast and crew are called.  Crew will be dismissed at 6:30.  We will be taking program photos at this rehearsal so come looking your best in a solid, dark shirt/blouse.  Also, bring a three ring binder for handouts, a pencil, a water bottle and a dinner or snack.  Please wear shoes suitable for dancing and make sure your clothing meet the Journey dress code. 

Friday the 18th is our first parent meeting, also at Lifepoint Church.  This is a REQUIRED meeting for cast parents.  Crew parents are welcome and if you are new, you will find it very helpful.  Our NEW PARENT MEETING starts at 6:30 PM.  Returning families come at 7:00 PM.  We will close at 9:00 PM.  Our parent meeting is also at Lifepoint.

At this first rehearsal, we will be checking out  rehearsal CD’s.  The deposit for a rehearsal CD is $5 and EVERYONE needs to get one.  Deposits must be made by check.

Those of you needing to check out a script will get a separate email.  The deposit for script check out is $25.  Kristi will have scripts at Tuesday and Thursday classes.  Deposits also must be made by check.

HYPE is becoming TREK -

Teens Reaching Out to Expand the Kingdom!  We'll be transitioning to our new name on our website and printed materials through the course of our Fall session.   We are excited for this year and look forward to serving our Journey community.  

Callbacks

Great job everyone!   EVERYONE who auditioned is called back from 9:00 – 10:15.  Please read down the list to see if you are called beyond 10:15.

Callbacks are at Lifepoint Church, enter through the back door.  Please wear full coverage dance clothes (or you will not dance, says Kristi Foster, journey show shirts are recommended) and shoes with closed toes.  Bring a sweatshirt (as it is can be cool in the building), a water bottle and a lunch/snack if you are staying all day.  Please being non-digital quiet activities.

Callbacks are closed so parents will drop off/and pick up at the designated time.

The final cast and crew list will be posted Sunday, 9/22, at 5:00 PM.

Auditions are TODAY from 4:00 - 7:00 at Lifepoint Church.  Enter the front doors of the church, our registration tables will be in the lobby.  

Remember to bring:
A completed Audition Form (WITH ANY REHEARSAL CONFLICTS NOTED)
A completed Costume Form
A completed and signed Parent Committee Form
A completed and signed Medical Release Form (YES, we need another)

Have your 1 minute audition song (with no vocals) ready and you are set!  (Please have your song on CD or MP3, connecting to wireless Internet is not reliable)

Production Fee

So you are not caught off guard ~ the production fee this fall is $75.00.  It is listed on the Audition Form we had at classes Tuesday as $65.00.  The form has been updated.  The corrected form is on this callboard under the Forms tab.

This postcard and flyer will go home with students tomorrow at our first class day in Vancouver East!

Both will explain how you can invite a friend to Journey!

Millie Hair!

The audition form we have on the callboard does not have the important question about hair!  We will be adding "Are you willing to change your hair for the show?" You may add this to your form!  If you do not include it, we will ask you when you check in at your audition.

And girls ~ the character "Millie" will need to bob her hair for the run of the show.
